4th bday party for #4

We celebrated Shecklet #4 turning 4 with family and friends, cake and ice cream and temps in the 50s. Unheard of for MN in February. I thought the weather we had for Shecklet #2’s fourth birthday was amazing (when we celebrated outside) but today takes the cake – haha!

Just a few photos from the day.

Little nephew’s baptism day

We gathered to celebrate our nephew’s baptism this evening. He was surrounded by lots of love at the church and didn’t make a peep when the pastor poured the cool water on his head.

I love this picture for two main reasons: one, we’re all looking different directions (at different cameras) and two, because of the sweet kiss my SIL is giving her son. ❀

February break

The Shecklets have been off of school since last Friday. Today we had lunch with Grandma and Grandpa and then went bowling. Fun memories were made!

Bat thumbs

As I was saying good night to Shecklet #1, he said to me:

“Mom, did you know bats have thumbs? Β It’s true. Β I read about it in the strange facts book.”

I learned something new tonight.

100th day of K!

Shecklet #3 is celebrating her 100th day of school today and gets to dress up like a 100 year old πŸ™‚

Surly goggles

Jake pulled the carrier tops off a four pack of Surly and cut them in half for the girls. We added a little duct tape and made them in to goggles. Only problem is, they can’t see out of them. 😎

HBD Nana!

Our family gathered together for birthday dinner (Beef Wellington) to celebrate my mom’s birthday. The meal was amazing, as it is every year and it was great to be able to celebrate this wife/mom/nana who means so much to us πŸŽ‚

Quotables from #4

Our family was recently introduced to the rousing (and competitive) game of “fart tag.” You can probably figure out how to play just from its name. Well this morning (as we were getting ready to head out the door to school,) I overheard this exchange:

Shecklet #1 farted at Shecklet #3. Shecklet #3’s response: “I’m still it, [Shecklet #1]!”

Shecklet #4 then pipes in, “That was a wasted fart!

You seriously can’t make this stuff up!

Xmas Eve 2016

Our Christmas Eve tradition of having my parents join us for mass and then soup supper continued another year. Shecklet #2 and I went to the church early enough to get enough pew space for us to sit in this year. (He selected our spot and sat on the end so he could see πŸ™‚.)

After mass, we were able to get a few family photos, which are always so fun to look back on.

Tomorrow afternoon we will head to my parents’ house to celebrate with Tony and Kristin and their kids. It will be fun to have all of the Cimperman cousins together.
