Fall clean up

The girls were invited to a birthday party this afternoon, so the guys went to Auntie Larissa’s house to help take leaves.

Halloween 2016

I took Shecklet #4 to the office to trick or treat and say hi to Papa. After that stop, we headed to the house to see Nana.

Three of the Shecklets wanted to go trick-or-treating this year. #2 decided to stay home, hand out candy, and count kids. It was a drizzly night, but everyone had fun. Shecklet #4 asked when she could go again 🎃

Point U!

I took my mini me to see the Golden Gopher volleyball team play Rutgers. They won the match in three sets. It was fun to be in campus again!

Quotables from #4

On the way to my women’s group at church, I heard this from Shecklet #4:

“I have two nicknames, Disgust and Hello Kitty. [Shecklet #3] is Joy and Leia.”

No idea where she comes up with this stuff. She has been saying her nickname is Hello Kitty for a while, but Disgust was a new one – possibly due to the Inside Out band-aid she was wearing this AM. The kid cracks me up!

Time with Aunt Kari

Nana asked Shecklet #1 to join her and Aunt Kari at the stable today. They groomed Rio and Kid before saddling up and riding.

Hit it!

The boys did a skiing version of this in the backyard of our old house. Today, the youngest practiced her “hit it” for next summer at the lake. (Click the square to the right of the video’s blue audio control to get the full view.)

Mill City Museum

I went on a field trip with Shecklet #2 and his 3rd grade class today. We learned a lot about the old flour mill and the river that used to power it. Great field trip!

Bracelet maker

Shecklet #3 broke open the bracelet making kit she received from Uncle Tony, Auntie Kristin and her little cousin(s). The neighbor boy saw the finished product and asked her if she would make one for him 🙂

Happy 6th birthday sweet #3!

Every year we watch you grow into a more inquisitive, creative, loving daughter/sister/friend. We are very proud of the young girl you have become.  Keep being the bright-eyed kid who is such a joy to be around and has a natural ability to draw others to you.  We love you SO much!!
