1st snowball fight of the season
Shecklets 1 and 2 headed out to the front yard shortly after getting home from school. Shecklet #4 followed soon after.

The Hobbit
Jake took the boys to see The Hobbit (as a play) at the Stages Theatre this morning. Both were very excited to see the book “live” in stage. Shecklet #2 was wondering if they would be using metal swords during the fight scenes.
Last stable day for 2017
Three of the Shecklets spent the day win Nana out at Echo Hills with Rio and Kid. They had a picnic in the small, green pasture, rode horses, and then ended up back at Nana and Papa’s house for dinner. Shecklet #2 and I missed out on the fun due to not feeling 100%, so we laid low and enjoyed some movie time together. I finally got to see Rogue One 🙂
Orchard 2017
Grandpa Dave went with us to the orchard where Grandma Patti works in the fall. It was a beautiful day and we had lots of fun, as usual!
After the orchard, we went back to Grandma and Grandpa’s house and the kids played outside and rode on the 4-wheeler.
Luceline Apple Orchard
My SIL organized a trip to the apple orchard today. So much fun with cousins and friends!
Sunday party
Shecklets #3 and 4 were invited to a birthday party today. The weather was unseasonably warm so swimsuits and water play were part of the fun. There were inflatable pools, a bounce house and a blow up obstacle course! Aunt Larissa was also there, which made it even more fun!
Time with Michelle
Shecklet #2 spent the day with his godmother and her family today. For Xmas, Michelle gave him a coupon to spend the day doing Pinterest projects. In addition to the projects, they took the train to the MOA, went to the Children’s Museum and ate at A&W. Lots of awesome memories were made!

But enough to go sledding for a little while, thanks to Dad dumping snow from the front to their sledding track.
Goat-dog and dress up
We now have a goat-dog in the house.
Cooper went to the groomer extra fluffy and came home nice and short. Just in time for the sloppy weather that is supposed to hit us later this week. Our poor groomer though. She is so good with the old dog, but he doesn’t appreciate her attempts to clean him up. She wasn’t able to trim around his face because he kept nipping. I told her not to worry about it. I’m actually thinking of keeping the goatee on him – I think it is hilarious!
Speaking of hilarious, this happened tonight:
It’s batman-doctor-wizard-ballerina boy armed with Need guns. The Shecklets definitely do not lack imaginations, that’s for sure!
4th bday party for #4
We celebrated Shecklet #4 turning 4 with family and friends, cake and ice cream and temps in the 50s. Unheard of for MN in February. I thought the weather we had for Shecklet #2’s fourth birthday was amazing (when we celebrated outside) but today takes the cake – haha!
