HBD #9 to #4! ๐ŸŽ‰

Our Shecklet #4 had her final single-digit birthday today! She requested mini hamburgers on Hawaiian rolls. We had a few family members over to celebrate with us on the 19th and then she skied on her actual birthday. Year #9 seems to be off to a great start!

Orthodontic choices

Conversation with Shecklet #1 after his latest ortho appointment:

Shecklet #1: “Guess what color I chose [for my bands] this time?”

Me: “Ummmm.”

Shecklet #1: “Purple, because Lent is coming.” ๐Ÿ™‚

I love how our faith even impacts ortho choices <3

Feeding a family

I never know just how much Iโ€™m going to need when it comes to making dinner. I try to always error on a bit too much. Iโ€™m a fan of leftovers, so extra food means lunch the next day is easy.

I caught up with one of my uncles last week and during our conversation, he asked what I make for dinner (since there are 6 of us to feed.) I told him sheet pan dinners are a favorite of mine since theyโ€™re often so easy to put together.

I made one tonight, so I decided to send him a picture.

Friends ๐Ÿ’—

We got to celebrate my godsonโ€™s birthday this afternoon. I didnโ€™t get a picture with him this time, but I DID get one with his mom!

Orchids for Astrid

Jake and I took a stained glass class together at The Artery Studio tonight. It was so much fun!

We received three orchid plants after our daughter Astrid died, but I was never able to get them to bloom a second time. We made these to remember our sweet little girl ๐Ÿ’— (and bonus, they donโ€™t need to be watered!)
