Annual Orchard Visit 2018
We made our annual trip to the orchard where Grandma Patti works every fall. We went through the corn maze, washed apples, ate apples, picked apples, and selected pumpkins. It was a great day!

City gathering
The day was perfect for attending our city’s “block party” where the kids could check out City Hall, all kinds of city vehicles, inspect the jail, and try on police gear, among other things.
September Sunday Funday
The weather this weekend has been beautiful. It’s one of the reasons we love Minnesota. Yesterday we spent some time outside at the newly remodeled French Lake Park (no pictures, just memories in our heads.) Today, Jake is playing Settlers of Catan with Shecklets 1, 2, & 3, while I’m drawing chalk animals with Shecklet #4.
Lost tooth #1 for #4
Shecklet #4 has had two loose bottom teeth for a few weeks. I noticed that one was barely hanging on and figured she’d likely lose it at school tomorrow. Well while I helped her brush her teeth tonight, out it came 😳. The sight of blood was a bit alarming for her, but we quickly got things under control and she understood what had (accidentally) happened. I’m just glad I didn’t turn on the faucet before I found the tooth in the sink!
Back to school night
Or afternoon.
It’s day 4 of VBS week, which means it’s back to school night for the kids. Time to find out who their teachers are, drop off the supplies, and in the case of Shecklet #4, get an idea as to what the building looks like. All four Shecklets will be at the same school and on why same schedule for the next three years. Yeah for that!

My SIL got married today!
I didn’t take many pictures – just enjoyed the evening.
The picture of Jake above was taken by his aunt 🙂 I love his zest for life!
ETA: We didn’t get a picture of just the two of us looking spiffy last night, so we took a “day after the wedding” photo instead. We did get a couple of family pictures that I’m hoping turned out well. Fingers crossed!
