Pink Sister

Our church held their annual craft and bake sale this morning. Shecklet #3 asked if she could buy a pink habit for her American Girl doll. We sent pictures to her godfather, who introduced us to the pink Sisters when we visited him in STL two years ago.

Shecklet #2 is 10!

This basketball playing, Lego-loving kid has such a huge heart!  A few weeks ago, he asked if we could go to Feed My Starving Children to pack meals on his birthday.  Ummmmm….yes, of course we can!  We invited family members and his godmother and had a great time!  After packing meals, we came home and had pie – lemon meringue and apple – with ice cream, of course.

Time with Michelle

Shecklet #2 spent the day with his godmother and her family today. For Xmas, Michelle gave him a coupon to spend the day doing Pinterest projects. In addition to the projects, they took the train to the MOA, went to the Children’s Museum and ate at A&W. Lots of awesome memories were made!

Gingerbread houses

Shecklet #4 and I had a chance to spend the afternoon with a good friend of mine and her sweet boys. While we were there, she pulled out gingerbread houses that the her son and Shecklet #4 got to decorate.

And I have a photo of me helping my godson! ❤️ This decorating stuff is serious business!

Thanksgiving visitors 2016

Thanks to the crazy contagious/illness fall we had, our KS friends stopped to visit a couple of times during their trip to MN in lieu of staying with us. We always pick right back up where we left off – not something every friendship is able to do. This crazy bunch of kids (plus one from another friend’s family) just keeps growing! Love how they all enjoy one another’s company – just like their parents do.

And of course, here is Shecklet #4 with her godparents.

Cold outside, tropical inside

Friends of ours (Shecklet #4’s godmother and her kids) are in town visiting this week.  We were able to spend several hours with them yesterday afternoon as well as today.  Since Minnesota refuses to give up winter, we ruled out a park gathering and instead opted for the zoo.  We scurried from building to building to see all of the animals and then ended up in the conservatory, where things were quite tropical.
