Xmas Eve 2016

Our Christmas Eve tradition of having my parents join us for mass and then soup supper continued another year. Shecklet #2 and I went to the church early enough to get enough pew space for us to sit in this year. (He selected our spot and sat on the end so he could see 🙂.)

After mass, we were able to get a few family photos, which are always so fun to look back on.

Tomorrow afternoon we will head to my parents’ house to celebrate with Tony and Kristin and their kids. It will be fun to have all of the Cimperman cousins together.

Little elf working hard

Shecklet #2 likes to peruse Pinterest for project, craft, game, and building ideas. He has asked for help gathering supplies to make all kinds of things. He has built Popsicle stick ninja stars and a homemade skeeball game; we’ve made slime and catapults and he taught himself how to tube-knit and made a bracelet and several necklaces. His latest project is one he pinned for Papa several months ago. He is so proud of it and can’t wait to give it to Papa at Christmas!

Penguin party!

Shecklet #3 celebrated the last day of school before Christmas break with a penguin party at school! Kindergartens and two guests were invited to join them. The kids sang songs about penguins and we had breakfast together. ❤️

Preschool Christmas concert

Shecklet #4 sang her heart out at her preschool Christmas program this morning. The teachers do such a great job teaching hem the songs and actions to go along with each one. It was so fun to watch her up on he risers – no stage fright for her! She did great!

Gingerbread houses

Shecklet #4 and I had a chance to spend the afternoon with a good friend of mine and her sweet boys. While we were there, she pulled out gingerbread houses that the her son and Shecklet #4 got to decorate.

And I have a photo of me helping my godson! ❤️ This decorating stuff is serious business!

The 2016 tree

We moved the tree to a new spot in the living room this year because it is so much wider than the Menards ones we have gotten in the past.  Love how it turned out – it looks even prettier at night!

Christmas tree hunt

Jake took the kids to the Christmas tree farm where Grandma Patti is working for a few weekends this Advent. There was no snow, but plenty of mud! Aunt Kari captured these pictures and sent them to me.

The crew also stopped at a park after tree hunting. Turns out, Jake has a playground with his name on it!
