Drummer boy

This kid is home with conjunctivitis, but that isn’t stopping him from letting his creative juices flow. He designed a drum set this afternoon.

Saints Game

Jake’s employer planned a company outing and employees were allowed to bring a +1. We had 7th row seats right to the left of home plate and watched the home team win by more than 10 runs. It was a fun night out!

Quotables from #4

Shecklet #4 to Uncle Tony, very matter-of-factly at the office today: “I was borned in the ambulance.”

Applesauce helper

Shecklet #4 got to spend some time with Nana today – solo. Their project for the afternoon was making applesauce. Yum!

Jumping around

We met Aunt Kari at an indoor jump and play place. Shecklet #3 isn’t in the photo because she was off making new friends 🙂

Green

We had celebratory cupcakes for dessert tonight in honor of Shecklet #3’s first day of kindergarten. The color was so bold, it stained lips, tongues and fingers!

This was Shecklet #4 in her pink tractor cart earlier in the day when we she selected the cupcakes. (We met Nana for breakfast at Hy-Vee after sending the other three Shecklets off to school.)

1st day 2016-2017 (part 2)

My mini-me, Shecklet #3, is off to her first day of kindergarten!

Here she was at the end of the day. Her response to my asking how the day was, “Can I go back tomorrow?!?” I think that means she had a great 1st day!

Rain delay turn rain out

My parents went to the Twins game tonight. (Hot, muggy day today.) The dark clouds moved in and opened up.  Lucky for them, they had an umbrella and seats under the canopy!

Civic duty – primary

Took the girls with me to vote in the primary today. We were thanked by the volunteers for taking the time to show up. Our vote really makes a difference!
