I love finding evidence of my kids being in the kitchen. (This is what happened when the girls dried dishes tonight 😂)
Penguin Party 🐧
Shecklet #4 joined her fellow kindergartners and dressed in black and white for her penguin party at school today. The kids sang five songs, showed us their penguin themed artwork, and had a snack. It was so fun to see their hard work on display!
Feast of St. Nicholas
I know today’s feast day typically means shoes filled with chocolate coins and oranges, but since were still eating Halloween candy, we opted for ornaments and book, titled the Catechism of the Seven Sacraments.
Christmas tree 2018
We visited a a Christmas tree farm tonight and found our family’s tree 🌲 The kids (and the tree farm guy) all thought it was pretty funny that the tree fit inside the truck 😂
Coffee with my MIL
I met my mother-in-law at Bachman’s this morning. We had coffee & quiche, had a chance to catch up a little (she had a busy fall, so we didn’t get to see her much.) We also took some time to wander around the store to check out all of the Christmas decorations. We even stopped for a picture at the “selfie spot.”
Another trip around the sun
I got to celebrate my birthday with this great group of family and friends. Michelle and Angelo hosted us for dinner and an amazingly delicious pumpkin layered cake.
Gift opening (on the 24th) was full of fun surprises from Jake, the kids, my in-laws, and my aunt Deb, who made a cathedral pane lap quilt using pieces that my Grandma Fran had intended to use for quilting, but was unable to due to her failing eyesight.
Thanksgiving 2018
We hosted two families for Thanksgiving dinner this evening – 6 adults and 10 kids! Once again, I didn’t get pictures of everyone – next time!
Good food + great company = fantastic holiday!

Our good friends from KC came to visit for a few days. Many laughs and fun memories were made and we captured a couple of pictures to document how much the kids have grown 😊
